Schengen Visa

3) "visa to transit through the airport" (only valid for a stay in the international transit area of airports of the Schengen States in international flights with transfers; required from citizens of certain third countries).

Residence Visa

The residence permit is intended to allow the entry into the country so that the holder can apply for a residence permit.
