Schengen Visa

Regulation (EC)OF THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT AND OF THE COUNCIL of 13 July 2009,
establishing a Community Code on Visas
(Visa Code) [1]



This Regulation is a legislative act of the EU codifying nature, in which the date of its entry into force  consolidated and systematized the basic rules of the EU on:

1) "single  visa" (visas for single, double or multiple entries in order to stay in the entire Schengen area a maximum of three months in the first half, including transit),

as well as

2) "visa with limited territorial validity" (issued to persons who do not meet all the conditions for a Schengen visa, valid, as a rule, only one, at least for several Schengen countries) and

3) "visa to transit through the airport" (only valid for a stay in the international transit area of airports of the Schengen States in international flights with transfers; required from citizens of certain third countries).
